Jumbuck Pastoral
On-Farm Shoot | Content Creation
Location: Commonwealth Hill Station, SA
This project took place at of Australia’s largest and most iconic sheep stations, spanning more than 511,000 hectares of vast outback country.
Emu Hill Ag spent time on station during shearing season documenting the scale, people and day-to-day operations behind life at Commonwealth Hill. The project focused on capturing authentic moments across the station, from sheep mustering and aviation operations through to shearing sheds, station life and the landscape itself.
Working alongside the team on station, the project aimed to showcase the reality of large-scale pastoral operations in some of Australia's most remote country, while highlighting the people and systems that keep it all moving. Through cinematic video content, short-form social media films and a large photography gallery, the goal was to give audiences a genuine insight into station life, educate people on large-scale pastoral operations, and inspire greater interest in Australian agriculture and the opportunities within the industry.
The Impact
The Commonwealth Hill Station project generated more than 500,000 organic views across social media, increasing exposure for both Commonwealth Hill Station and Jumbuck Pastoral. Across 18 posts, the project showcased the people and operations behind the station, with one Instagram reel alone generating more than 200,000 organic views on Instagram alone. The campaign helped introduce a wider audience to life in the pastoral industry and the opportunities available within it.
